Turkey Lifts YouTube Ban After 2 Days
ISTANBUL, Turkey (AP) -- Turkey lifted its ban on YouTube Friday, an official for the country's largest telecommunications firm said, two days after a court ordered the Web site blocked because of videos that allegedly insulted the founder of modern Turkey.
Ahter Kutadgu, head of corporate communications for Turk Telekom, told the Anatolia news agency his company had been notified of a court decision to lift the ban.
Kutadgu did not elaborate on the court's reasoning. "As soon as the court decision lifting the ban reached us, we immediately opened YouTube," he said.
The Istanbul court that ordered the site blocked on Wednesday had said it would lift the ban as soon as it ascertained that videos insulting Turkey's founding father, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, were removed.

Parents duke it out at middle school
DAYTON, Ohio (UPI) -- Two parents who visited an Ohio middle school because they thought their children had been in a fight, ended up fighting themselves.
One of the parents bit her opponent in Friday's incident, WEWS-TV Cleveland reported.
The fight took place at Fairview Middle School in Dayton.
Two people suffered minor injuries and police may charge the woman who was accused of biting her adversary, the TV station said.

Run Google Talk in Firefox Sidebar
The Google Talk Gadget is clearly more usable than the stand-alone GTalk desktop client or the floating AJAX version in GMail.
Here, each chat session opens up as a tab (like Firefox browser tabs), it can show previews of images or video and the chat client can easily be embedded inside webpages.
There's however a small problem - while we have browser windows in front of us all the time, the same may not hold true for the webpage (like the Google personalized page) where we have embedded the GTalk gadget.
So here's an alternate option - put the Google Talk client in the Firefox sidebar so it always stays in the foreground no matter what website you are on currently.
To add Google Talk to your Firefox sidebar, bookmark the following URL (right-click and choose Bookmark this link)
talkgadget.google.com/talkgadget/client
Now goto Bookmarks menu, navigate to the above bookmark, right click and choose Properties. Tick the checkbox that says Load this bookmark in the sidebar.

Toddler found high on coke at pre-school
A toddler was treated by doctors after cocaine was found in her system.
The unidentified girl, who is between 18 and 24 months old, was taken to hospital after workers at her church pre-school noticed the girl acting strangely, in Jacksonville, Florida.
The teachers at Promise Land Pre-School at the First Baptist Church of Mandarin noticed that the girl wouldn't eat her food and was unsteady on her feet, according to a report from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Both of the toddler's parents tested negative for the drug, and authorities couldn't link the drugs to the church either.
Up to 14 employees at the church were interviewed and screened for drugs, but all the results came back negative, said Rev Steve Newbill. 'They told us we're cleared,' he said.
The girl's parents said that when she went to school, she was fine, but the information from the case will still have to go to detectives that investigate child abuse, said Melissa Bujeda, the sheriff's spokesperson.

The themes add a cartoonish backdrop to the top of the page and tweak text and border colors to match. What's more, they're dynamic, meaning they change depending on the time of day. Alas, the background below the header remains as stark and white as ever, and you can't make custom changes to any of the themes. Even so, it's good to see Google finally giving the homepage a little window dressing. It's been too drab for too long. — Rick Broida from LifeHacker.com

Teen allegedly sped to catch school bus
VALPARAISO, Ind. (UPI) -- An Indiana teenager clocked doing 93 mph allegedly was in a hurry to catch his school bus -- to comply with a judge's order in a previous speeding case.
Ryan M. Henry, 18, of Porter Township near Valparaiso, Ind., is to appear before Porter Superior Court Judge Julia Jent April 16 on a reckless driving charge, for allegedly hitting 93 in a 45 mph zone Tuesday, the Gary (Ind.) Post-Tribune said. That's the same judge who had ordered Henry to ride the school bus following a previous speeding violation.
Porter County Sheriff's Patrolman Roger Bowles said Henry told him he had run out to a gas station in his 2001 Ford Mustang to buy an energy drink before his school bus arrived.
Jent, known for her innovative sentencing, said things like this happen when dealing with young people.
"It's going to happen, and you deal with it as it comes along," she said, while noting that Henry is innocent until proven guilty. "I raised four kids. I know what they're going to try."

A couple had been debating the purchase of a new auto for weeks. He wanted a new truck. She wanted a fast little sports-like car so she could zip through traffic around town. He would probably have settled on any beat up old truck, but everything she seemed to like was way out of their price range.

DUI suspect alleges unicorn caused crash
BILLINGS, Mont. (UPI) -- A Montana man suspected of causing a car crash while driving drunk allegedly told police that a unicorn was driving his car at the time of the crash.
Deputy County Attorney Ingrid Rosenquist said at Phillip Carston Holliday Jr.'s arraignment in Yellowstone County that the 42-year-old claimed the mythical creature was at the wheel of his truck at the time of the March 7 accident, the Billings (Mont.) Gazette reported.
Holliday allegedly was driving under the influence in Billings when his truck went through a red light, struck another vehicle and then made a U-turn before hitting a utility pole.
Two police officers were on hand at the time to witness the crash.
Holliday has five prior DUI convictions and has amassed 53 traffic violations, the newspaper said. He has been convicted 28 times for driving with a suspended driver's license.

A frog walks into a bank right at closing time and asks the teller, "Who do I talk to about getting a loan?" The teller shows him to the office of the loans manager, Ms. Patricia Wack.
"I would like a loan for $200.00 to buy a new lily pad," the frog tells her.
"Do you have any collateral?" asks Ms. Wack.
The frog produces a small statuette of the Eiffel Tower with the inscription "Souvenir of Paris" engraved on the base. Unsure whether or not the object is worth the amount of the loan, she summons the bank manager.
The manager inspects the trinket, nods his head, and says, "It's a knick-knack, Patty Wack - give the frog a loan - This old man is going home"
