Students plant signs in dog piles

MALMO, Sweden (UPI) -- Preschoolers in Malmo, Sweden, have begun a neighborhood protest against dog poop.

The young protesters made a batch of very small signs, and then took to the streets and planted one in each pile of dog poop they encountered, The Local reported.

The signs say things such as "Pick up after yourself" and "An old woman could slip on a piece of dog poo and break her leg," the newspaper reported.

The students were inspired by one of their teachers, Ann-Sofie Johnsson, who said she nearly fell after stepping in a pile of poop recently.
