Fla. man charged with unlicensed dentistry

GREENACRES, Fla. (UPI) -- A 52-year-old man was arrested in Florida recently for allegedly performing a root canal on a woman even though he lacked a dental license.

Gustavo Ortegon was charged in Palm Beach County after allegedly attempting to collect his final payment for his unlicensed dental services, The Palm Beach Post reported.

Police claim Ortegon gave a woman a partial root canal Oct. 13, and then met with her Saturday to collect the rest of his payment and complete the procedure.

Ortegon was released on a $4,500 bond, the newspaper said.
